Every day, communities are feeling the consequences of systems that were never designed for the complexity of our human needs, in our bodies, and across every institution we are forced to navigate.

We call this exclusion expertise.

This is why we aren't waiting for change anymore.

We are building the solutions ourselves. Community-led. Justice-first.

BIOREALITY

A tool to help you map your complex health journey over time and show population trends.

As a collective, we can build the evidence of the global sustainability crisis that leaders must urgently act on.

We ask for non-identifiable data at the beginning to show your graph correctly, this will only be stored if you choose to share your graph to our community-owned database.

UNPATIENT

(COMING SOON)

An accessible and energy-aware design lab creating new health, welfare and digital systems with and for the excluded.

Designing for the most severely impacted: people in living death, biosystems collapse and medically abandoned.

We will only ever share community data for projects that serve the community and we will always tell you how each project will use it.

Justice-first design: Ask the UN to protect human biosystems

Our bodies are like climate systems, experiencing cascading and cumulative impacts, tipping points and destabilising over time.

This is why we have joined our leading bioscientists across 10+ countries, along with leaders across business, finance, charities and communities, to ask the UN to recognise humans as biosystems that also need protection (includes prevention, treatment, support and investment).

How Lab OLE started

Our Founder Cat Fraser, has spent twenty years working at the intersection of global communities, system change, data and design.

In 2021, she created a data analysis and visualisation report: This is Well[less]that documented how much time, money, energy and work she had spent trying to find healthcare, that six years later still doesn’t exist yet.

In 2024, she wrote for the Byline Times about the hidden public health crisis of Long COVID and what a wellbeing economy response to an ongoing pandemic would look like, and in March 2026 she launched a UN open letter and campaign that bought science, systems, business, finance, charities and communities, across 10+ countries together for the first time.

Their ask: to protect people like we protect the environment under existing law, which would also help solve the growing workforce long term sickness problem that is now costing our global economy over $1 trillion a year.

Lab OLE is a new way for communities to innovate together, in whatever way works for them.

Build the new community-owned innovation system with us.
